4 Fun Things to Do in Lower Manhattan March 2017

We’re just as shocked as you are that it’s already March! Time flies when you’re having fun and enjoying everything New York City has to offer? Before we dive into spring, here are a few farewell-to-winter celebrations we suggest to round out the cold season:

Orchid Show

(New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Boulevard, Bronx; Now until April 9)

It’s that time of year again and this year’s Orchid Show theme is Thailand. Travel to Southeast Asia to discover beautiful blooms without actually traveling there! Be sure to visit their website for special events and more details on Orchid Evenings.

St. Patrick’s Day

There’s nothing more exciting than celebrating Irish heritage with green beer or jumping into a parade! From Sunnyside to Midtown, there are plenty of ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in New York City. For more St. Patty’s Day happenings, visit TimeOut New York’s complete synopsis on all Irish-related events.

Sunday Brunch at the Met

(Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, 30 Lincoln Center, New York; Now until May 7)

The Met is now open on Sundays and this season opera fans are invited to explore the facility and enjoy an afternoon meal with a show! The $39 Prix Fixe includes an Endless Mionetto Prosecco cocktail and a performance by rising Met stars.

NYC Craft Beer Festival

(Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, New York; March 24 – 25)

There’s only one place to sample an extensive and diverse offering of craft beers, meads, ciders and spirits and that’s at the 2017 NYC Craft Beer Festival! Whether you love beer or cocktails, there’s something for everyone. Choose from one or all three of their sessions, invite a few friends and other fellow booze aficionadas and get ready for some libations with a twist of education!
