Eataly Downtown

Fear not! You no longer have to travel to Midtown’s Flatiron District to explore Eataly’s greatest wonders—there is a new (ish) Eataly in FiDi. Located on the third floor of World Trade Center Tower 4, the 40,000 square-foot space offers a mix of new services, including breakfast, and a variety of the classics, like their renowned cheese and meat counters. It has been said that one can spend an entire day there from breakfast until dinner. Well, we challenged this notion and did so ourselves! Here are a few exciting things you can do while exploring Eataly Downtown:

Grab some juice.

Eataly added a popular breakfast option! Juice Bar serves a selection of freshly-pressed juices and smoothies. Full of flavor, each drink is packed with nutritious fruits and vegetables that are sourced from sustainable regional farms.

Shop until you drop.

From meats to cheese, chocolate to coffee and beer to wine, everything you ever need to stock your pantry and refrigerator is sold at Eataly. Keep in mind, the theme for the FiDi location is bread so there are a few more counters available to satisfy your warm, fluffy yet crunchy cravings.. Eataly’s wood-burning oven was brought over from Spain and assembled on location brick by brick. It doesn’t get more authentic than that.

Learn something new.

Aside from the variety of cook books and kitchen guides, Eataly also provides cooking classes and demonstrations. Sign up and attend any of the foodiversita classes, their free food “university” courses. Learn how to shape gnocchi or taste the difference between Tuscany and Sicily extra virgin olive oil. Classes are daily and advanced registration is not required.

Sit down, stay a while.

There are four different restaurants to choose from in Eataly.  While all are absolutely delicious and serve some of the best Italian cuisine, our favorite is Orto E Mare. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking lower Manhattan, the view is secondary to the food. Each menu highlights the season’s freshest produce and seafood and weekend brunch menu provides a selection of savory and sweet creations inspired by Italy and America. Book your reservations through their website or call (646) 667-8590.

Well, don’t take our word, head over to Eataly Downtown and spend an entire day walking, watching, tasting, smelling and enjoying all that is has to offer! Want to know more about things to do in Downtown Manhattan? Visit Q&A Residential Hotel’s blog for more local happenings.
