4 Fun Things to Do in Lower Manhattan During November 2016

The holiday season is the best time to visit New York City. Bryant Park Holiday Shops are open, The Rink at Rockefeller Center is welcoming skaters and Macy’s is preparing their seasonal displays. While all of this is exciting, there are a lot of cool new and fun things going on in Lower Manhattan! Here are 4 ways to spend the month of November without ever leaving the Financial District:

Apple World Trade Center

(185 Greenwich Street, New York)

The largest Apple store in New York City is now open in the Westfield World Trade Center Mall! Located on two levels of the mall, venture through dozens of the latest and greatest tech gadgets and accessories. While you’re there, check out the other recently opened shops in Westfield Mall or take a walk around the Oculus.

iPic Movie Theater

(11 Fulton Street, New York)

One of the first of its kind to come to Manhattan proper, iPic Movie Theater is more than just a night out at the movies, it’s an experience. Aside from popcorn and candy, order a meal or a few beverages while relaxing in their extra-cushioned leather seats or ‘sinfully decadent’ reclining chairs.

Canstruction

(Brookfield Place, 230 Vesey Street, New York)

Canstruction, a surprising annual design competition located in the heart of Brookfield Place, challenges teams or architects, engineers and contractors to build sculptures made of canned food. After the art installation, everything is donated to City Harvest to distribute to those in need. While you’re visiting this charity exhibit, knock out some holiday shopping or grab a bite to eat at Le Bar.

Fulton Stall Outdoor Market

(Fulton Stall market, 207A Front Street, New York)

The market has finally reopened! Every Sunday from 11am – 5pm, choose from a selection of seasonal favorite foods as well as other unique items. Once you’ve wrapped up your grocery list, meander your way through some of the other shops and attractions located in the South Street Seaport!

Q&A Residential Hotel, located at the iconic 70 Pine in Lower Manhattan, is designed to serve the needs of today’s business and leisure travelers. Furnished Quarters, the company behind Q&A Hotel, features exciting area events and attractions on their official blog. Check it out!
