4 Fun Things to Do in NYC during October 2016
Guten Tag! October is here and now is the time to drink a lot of beer! We’re just joking – partially! From pumpkin picking to Halloween celebrations, there are plenty of things to do in New York City to keep busy this October. Here are some city-wide event suggestions:
Oktoberfest at Bierhaus NYC
(Now until October 31, times vary, Bierhaus, 712 Third Avenue, New York)
Oktoberfest is not over yet! Bierhaus NYC is celebrating all month long with events ranging from Kidtoberfest to National Bratwurst eating contest. Don’t feel like celebrating? Just stop by and try their selection of imported German beers.

Don ye best cosplay costume for this year’s Comic Con! Whether you dress up, or are just there to observe, you’ll feel as if you landed in one of your favorite comics. Tickets are limited on the official website, however other vendors such as StubHub are still selling tickets.

The most awaited booze and food festival is back and tickets are selling like hotcakes! From tastings to intimate dinners, classes and late night parties, there’s an event for everyone. Visit your favorite Michelin-starred chef or check out the latest fresh talent.
(October 22, 12 – 3pm, Tompkins Square Park, 500 East 9th Street, New York)
Three words: dogs in costumes! From noon until about 3pm watch hundreds of pooches parade around Tompkins Square Park in their best Halloween costume. This year’s parade is sponsored by Purina with contestants competing for hundreds of prizes and the Best in Show title.
